What Your Donations Are Funding
By supporting us, you are supporting a trifecta of dementia support. Our funds will be donated as research, prevention and caregiver support funding to the Nantz National Alzheimer’s Center in Houston, TX. This world-renowned research and referral center, is located within The Methodist Hospital System. They are actively treating thousands of patients each year. Their goals: prevent Alzheimer’s disease, slow memory loss progression and improve the quality of life for every patient.
Within the Nantz National Alzheimer’s Center is The Frontotemporal Degeneration Unit. The FTD unit provides diagnosis and treatment for frontotemporal dementia and related disorders including primary progressive aphasia, semantic dementia, corticobasal degeneration syndrome, and progressive supranuclear palsy. Our aim is to develop better knowledge about and diagnosis and treatment of all forms of FTD and related focal dementia syndromes. Jordan, and other members of our community, are a part of the FTD research and clinical trials. Several of our family members and peer loved ones are under the care of their leading doctor.
The Nantz National Alzheimer’s Center is actively raising funds to create a fully staffed caregiver support center. This five million dollar endeavor will lend support and resources to those currently giving all they have to care for their loved ones. Our goal is to allocate funds to each of these three areas within the same facility.
